LSU football post-spring practice: defense breakdown
Undoubtedly, new defensive coordinator Blake Baker faces a huge challenge entering the 2024 season.
A porous defense must change considerably if LSU is going to reach the College Football playoffs. The Tigers allowed 28 points and 417 yards per game in 2023. Realize the 2020 LSU defense was worse – allowing 35 points and 492 yards per game.
The Tigers’ 2021 defense was much better – giving up 27 points and 378 yards per game. Baker must make a similar improvement this year.
