What does the board think about the proceedings so far?

My view is this is nothing short of a typical political smear campaign. Democrats know full well that without something scandalous, they have no chance of stopping BK from being confirmed. These hearings have produced theatre that, in a saner world, wouldnt be tolerated. Political realities being what they are, Republicans have very little, if any wiggle room. Perhaps the midterms will go a long way toward mitigating that to Republican advantage.

It's all they got. They do this because they know there's no case to be made. All of their accusers' so called accounts can't hold up to even mild scrutiny.

It now seems that Ford's story is unravelling by the minute. It is now being reported that the FBI has a statement from an old boyfriend which states that Ford has given lessons on how to beat a polygraph test and, it seems, she was less than truthful about her "fear of flying & claustrophobia.

"In a written declaration released Tuesday and obtained by Fox News, an ex-boyfriend of Christine Blasey Ford, the California professor accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, directly contradicts her testimony under oath last week that she had never helped anyone prepare for a polygraph examination.

The former boyfriend, whose name was redacted in the declaration, also said Ford neither mentioned Kavanaugh nor mentioned she was a victim of sexual misconduct during the time they were dating from about 1992 to 1998. He said he saw Ford going to great lengths to help a woman he believed was her "life-long best friend" prepare for a potential polygraph test. He added that the woman, Monica McLean, had been interviewing for jobs with the FBI and U.S. Attorney's office."
