LSU and Korey Foreman, some very positive vibes
This recruiting update is certainly a snapshot in time as we've seen 5-star DE Korey Foreman of Corona (Calif.) Centennial commit to Clemson but then re-open the recruiting process.Ever since Foreman decomitted from Clemson on April 21, LSU has been confident about where they stand, but I think other schools have been confident as well. What I do know is that no head coach has had more interaction with Foreman than Ed Orgeron over the last yea, plus there's Christian LaCouture who might be the difference in this recruiting process.LaCouture and Foreman have forged a very strong relationship and talk often. Then you combine the relationship Foreman has with LSU commit Raesjon Davis and Maason Smith and it puts LSU in a strong spot. Davis is in Foreman's ear whenever possible and Smith has been talking about the two of them attending the same school since last summer. USC folks have been adamant that Foreman stays out west now and I'm told that's not true. I'm told that the two at the top right now just might be LSU and Georgia. Clemson, Oregon and USC are also in the mix but right now in early July, I think it's LSU and UGA. There's plenty of time for movement though. Foreman will take his official visits and he doesn't plan on announcing his decision until December signing day or The All-American Bowl (Jan. 2, NBC) telecast. Foreman is a midterm graduate as is Maason Smith. It might be a great idea to have Davis and Smith visit officially on the same weekend that Foreman does. This will certainly be a fluid situation but based on what I know right now, I believe that LSU holds a slight lead for Foreman. Stay tuned!

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
