Texas Looking to Poach Several LSU Commits
Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns are viewing the coaching change in Baton Rouge as a prime opportunity to poach prospects from the Tiger's 2026 class. Several players have been contacted by Texas in recent days:Brysten Martinez : The 4-star OL out of Gonzalez, LA has been committed to the Tigers since last spring, and had been firmly locked in until recently. Last weekend Brysten was in Austin for an unofficial visit, and now he has confirmed that he will be taking an official visit back to Austin soon. Would not shock me if he ultimately ends up with Texas, especially as it seems more and more likely that the retention of Brad Davis is unlikely with the next staff.Richard Anderson : the elite defensive lineman out of Edna Karr HS has been a vocal leader in the 2026 recruiting class for the Tigers, however this week rumors swirled about him potentially setting up visits with Texas and Alabama, but I was able to talk with Anderson directly and he shut those rumors down immediately saying they were not true and that he's still "locked in, Geaux Tigers ".Aiden Hall : the 4-star safety is Anderson's high school teammate at Edna Karr, and he also was included in these rumors of a possible visit to Austin, however much like Anderson those rumors have been shut down as well.Signing Day can't come soon enough…
