Tiger Commits Looking Elsewhere
Since the firing of Brian Kelly, LSU's 2026 class has remained in tact, and even gained another commitment after the announcement. However, there has been an increase in rumblings about potential commits looking elsewhere and in particular, the out-of-state guys are the ones to watch.Bryson Cooley : The 4-star OL from Mississippi hasn't kept it a secret that he has remained in heavy schools, most notably Miss State and Georgia. Cooley has taken multiple gameday visits to Starkville and is now trending to move his commitment over to the Bulldogs in the near future. DeAnthony Lafayette : The 4-star pass rusher out of the Sunshine State has made it very clear that the biggest reason he chose the Tigers was because of Coach Peoples, who was one of the first believers in Lafayette. Due to Lafayette's size for the position, he was overlooked a lot early on and is only starting to see the recognition he deserves as of recent. Despite saying he would prefer to stay with LSU, it seems as it will highly depend on whether or not Peoples is retained on staff. DeAnthony shared with me that with the uncertainty with Peoples' job at LSU, he has been reopening conversations with schools like FSU and Miami, with the Hurricanes being the main threat. He has a solid relationship with Coach Taylor down there, and there is a very solid chance he signs with the Canes next month.Havon Finney Jr. : the highly talented 4-star CB out of California has also reopened communication with other schools since the coaching decision, with Michigan and USC posing as the biggest threats. A visit to Ann Harbor is in the works, but Finney did tell me that he is still locked in with the Tigers, but the bulk of that reason is because of Corey Raymond. It seems that, much like Lafayette, his position coach will play a huge factor in his decision to stick or flip.As for others, Florida will make a big final push for Trenton Henderson , Miami and Texas A&M are gunning hard for Lamar Brown , Texas just hosted Brysten Martinez , and even Ohio State is looking to try to flip Darryus McKinley
Elite EDGE Trenton Henderson commits to LSU!
#LSU lands a commitment from Pensacola, FL EDGE Trenton Henderson !Henderson is one of the top pass rushing prospects in the nation, and he chooses the Tigers over Florida, Texas, and others. Coach Peoples gets his guy in Henderson! A prospect who already has the frame to play at the next level to pair along with great finesse moves and absolutely punishes those he tackles. He'll get better with strength moves like the bull rush once he's on campus and under the direction of Coach Peoples, but an absolutely huge get for the Tigers to add to an already impressive Top 10 recruiting class. As I talked about a few days ago the Tigers really turned up the heat here in the last couple days/week to beat out the Gators who were the presumed leaders coming out of his official visits.
Four-star EDGE rusher Trenton Henderson commits to LSU
The defensive side of the ball in Brian Kelly's LSU football program continues to load-up on top national talent.
Just changed my prediction
LB JJ Bush was a LSU prediction but ive switched him to Arkansas. He's expected to pick the Hogs sometime early in the 6pm hour this evening.I'm told Arkansas really shelled out the cash to nail him down. I still have Trenton Henderson choosing LSU around 6pm tonight. He's a five-star according to one outlet and a high four on others. big time EDGE rusher.
LSU regaining momentum for EDGE Trenton Henderson
After being penciled in for the Gators the last few weeks, 4-star Pensacola (Fla.) EDGE Trenton Henderson is receiving some more buzz towards LSU as his July 2nd commitment date approaches.Henderson took his official visit to Baton Rouge the weekend of May 30-June 1st, and following the visit there was some positive buzz that the Tigers were legit contenders in his recruitment. However, following his official visit to Gainesville the weekend of June 13-15, all the momentum shifted Florida's way and that's who the presumptive leader has been for the past few weeks. Now with just four days until he makes a decision, the needle is seeming to shift back into LSU's favor as it appears a bump in NIL and hammering home the proximity to Pensacola pitch could be swaying his choice down the stretch. Coach Peoples is a big fan of Henderson and with many of LSU's EDGE targets off the board and/or out of range, it could call for added pressure to land an elite pass rusher such as Henderson.
