LSU defensive back Kelvin Joseph enters transfer portal
UPDATE : Joseph has removed his name from the transfer portal.
Sources report that LSU defensive back Kelvin Joseph has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
The sophomore Joseph was suspended from the Fiesta Bowl for violating team rules. He was a signifant contributor as a true freshmen.
With Kristian Fulton returning off of injury and Derek Stingley, Jr. on campus, Joseph was expected to play backup but most believe his natural position is safety.
A player who enters the transfer portal does not necessarily have to transfer, but it also frees a school from having to renew that players scholarship for the following year.
Joseph signed with LSU in the class of 2018. LSU signed five cornerbacks for the class of 2019, including early enrollee Derek Stingley, Jr., Maurice Hampton, Jay Ward, Cordale Flott and Raydarious Jones.
