Major Burns commits to LSU

June 6, 2019

Class of 2020 four-star cornerback Major Burns‍ of Madison Prep-Baton Rouge has announced his verbal commitment to LSU.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Burns committed to LSU over offers from Alabama, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia and many others.

Burns was at one time committed to Texas A&M but that changed once LSU extended a scholarship offer on March 20.  Five days later he announced he was reopening his recruiting process.

Since then he visited Oklahoma and Florida officially as well as multiple unofficial visits to LSU. Earlier this week he visited Alabama unofficially.

The talented Burns could play multiple positions in a defensive backfield.  With Burns commitment LSU now has 16 commitments for the class of 2020.
