Ed Orgeron and the LSU football coaching staff now have their first verbal commitment for the class of 2022 and as had been the trend, he's a big-timer from beyond Louisiana's borders.

Beaumont-West Brook safety Bryce Anderson‍ who was a standout performer at LSU’s camp in early-June announced his decision via Twitter Sunday evening.

The decision was immediately following a strong unofficial visit to the Baton Rouge campus on Saturday where he witnessed the Tigers win over Georgia Southern.

Following his scholarship offer in June, Anderson told TigerBait.com, “I love LSU and I have lots of family down there”.

Anderson’s father is originally from Baton Rouge.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Anderson committed to LSU over offers from some of the nation’s top programs which include Alabama, Florida, Texas A&M, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma and many others.

More to come on this breaking story.
