BREAKING: Arik Gilbert commits to LSU

The recruiting world is shocked as top national tight end Arik Gilbert‍ of Marietta, Georgia has announced his verbal commitment to LSU. 

The five-star prospect was all but considered a heavy lean to Alabama but early Wednesday evening he announced his pledge to LSU.

With Gilbert’s commitment, LSU now has 22 commitments.  He’s the second tight end in the Tigers 2020 recruiting class as he joins Kole Taylor‍ of Central High, Grand Junction, Colo.

Gilbert took his official visit to LSU on the Florida game weekend. He announced his decision at a ceremony at Marietta High School (see video emed below).
