LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and Tigers running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire share this weeks SEC offensive player of the week award.
OFFENSE
Joe Burrow, QB, LSU
Completed 31-of-39 passes for 393 yards and 3 TDs in leading LSU to a 46-41 win over No. 3 Alabama.
Win was LSU's fourth over a Top 10 team in 2019 and eighth overall for Burrow as LSU's quarterback - the most for any QB in school history.
Rushed for 64 yards to finish with 457 yards of total offense, the third-highest total in school history.
The 31 completions tied a career-best and ranks No. 3 in school history ... Extended his school-record for passing TDs in a season to 33 and became the fourth player in LSU history to pass for 3,000 yards in a season.
The 46 points were the most by an LSU team in the 84-game series with Alabama ... LSU finished with 559 yards of total offense ... Has completed 20 or more passes in 12 straight games - a school record ... Is now 19-3 as LSU's starting quarterback.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU
Rushed for 103 yards and three TDs on 20 carries and caught nine passes for 77 yards and a score in helping LSU to a 46-41 win over Alabama ... Finished with 199 all-purpose yards.
Has rushed for 100+ yards in four of LSU's five SEC games this year ... Caught a 13-yard TD pass from Joe Burrow with six seconds remaining in first half to extend LSU's lead to 33-13 at the halftime.
Had fourth quarter TD runs of 1 and 5 yards, the second giving the Tigers a 46-34 advantage with 1:37 to go ... Averaged 5.2 yards per carry as he became the first player to score 4 TDs in a game against Alabama since 2007.
Accounted for a combined 14 first downs/TDs in game ... Touched the ball nine times (out of 23 LSU offensive plays) in the fourth quarter when the game was still in the balance.
DEFENSE
Daniel Bituli, LB, Tennessee
Led Tennessee with a season-high and SEC-best 19 tackles in a 17-13 victory at Kentucky.
No stop was bigger than Bituli's tackle on fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard line when he stuffed Kentucky quarterback Lynn Bowden's quarterback option run with just over a one-minute remaining to secure the victory.
He finished with 10 solo tackles and added a half-tackle for loss as the Vols erased a 13-0 first-quarter deficit and held the Wildcats scoreless in the second half at Kroger Field.
His 19-tackle performance is tied for the fifth-highest total by a Power 5 player in 2019.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Rodrigo Blankenship, PK, Georgia
Connected on a PAT and kicked four field goals (20, 48, 47 and 29 yards) to tie his career high during the Bulldogs' victory over Missouri.
He has now connected on a school record 186 consecutive PATs and is No. 2 in the SEC all-time record books by just 12 kicks.
Blankenship has 402 points in his career, which ranks fourth in school history and fifth in SEC history.
OFFENSIVE LINE
Ben Cleveland, OL, Georgia
Graded out at 86 percent and only allowed a single pressure on Bulldog quarterback Jake Fromm during Georgia's 27-0 win over Missouri.
Cleveland had seven knockdown blocks and helped allow the Bulldogs to pile up 339 yards, including 166 on the ground, versus a Tiger defense that ranked in the top 20 in several national categories.
Helped anchor an offensive line that had three different centers during the game against Missouri because of a couple injuries.
DEFENSIVE LINE
Jonathan Greenard, DL, Florida
Greenard tallied three tackles on Saturday, while scooping up a fumble for an 80-yard touchdown return in the third quarter.
The touchdown marks the Gators' first defensive TD of the season.
The return was also the longest return since Quincy Wilson's 79-yard return versus Missouri in 2016.
FRESHMAN
John Rhys Plumlee, QB, Ole Miss
Broke records and totaled 301 yards of offense and two touchdowns in leading Ole Miss past New Mexico State.
Carried the ball 12 times for 177 yards, one yard shy of the Rebel rushing record for a quarterback, while completing 11-of-17 passes for 124 yards.
Raised his season rushing tally to 777 yards, the most ever by an Ole Miss freshman.
Broke the single-season school record for most rushing TDs by a freshman (seven) and extended the total TD record by a freshman (11).
His 79-yard run in the first half was the third-longest rush by a QB in Rebel history.
Mohamoud Diabate, LB, Florida
Diabate recorded a career-high 3.0 sacks, with one in each quarter, for a loss of 27 yards on Saturday.
Forced a fumble on his last sack, leading to an 80-yard touchdown on the fumble recovery.
