LSU No. 1 in playoff rankings, Bama falls to No. 5

BATON ROUGE -- For the first time in the six-year history of the College Football Playoff Rankings, the LSU Tigers were ranked No. 1.

The CFP rankings will determine the participants in the four-team playoff at the end of the 2019 season.

LSU (9-0, 5-0 SEC), which has defeated four top-10 teams this season, travels to face Ole Miss on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. CT. The game will be televised by ESPN and broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network beginning at 4 p.m. CT.
