The announcement was made Friday by Bossier City Mayor Lorenz Walker and the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission.

Louisiana Tech will be the home game for the contest. The event is being organized and promoted by Russ Potts Productions, Inc., a national marketing firm specializing in producing major college and professional sports events.

LSU last played in the CenturyLink Center on Dec. 18, 2010 in a 71-69 loss to Wichita State. LSU defeated Centenary in the building in 2004, 66-63. The Tigers played against Centenary at Hirsch Coliseum in 1999 and three games in a Louisiana Invitational (VMI, Centenary, Northwestern State) in Shreveport in 1956. According to records, there was also a Northwestern State game in Shreveport in 1945.

Of the game, LSU Coach Will Wade said, “We look forward to bringing the LSU basketball program to Shreveport-Bossier next year against a very good Louisiana Tech team. We hope fans of both teams will join us for what will be a fun night of basketball.”

The Tigers traveled to Ruston in November for a charity exhibition game to benefit tornado relief in Ruston and the LA Tech campus. LSU won the contest, 83-70.

Tickets for the November 24th game will be available in the early spring.
