Nation's No. 1 TE Jake Johnson commits to LSU
LSU has picked up one of the the biggest recruiting prizes for the class of 2022.
High four-star tight end Jake Johnson of Bogart (GA) Oconee County has announced via his twitter account that he will be joining his older brother LSU quarterback Max Johnson in Baton Rouge for his college career.
The 6-foot-5 ½, 230-pound prospect committed to LSU over Oklahoma, Florida, Clemson, Florida State and Georgia.
Johnson finished his junior season with nearly 1,000 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns. He graduates at midterm and will enroll at LSU for the spring 2022 semester.
With his commitment, LSU now has 12 commitments for the class of 2022. The class is currently rated as a consenus top-3 class in the nation.
