Four star RB TreVonte Citizen commits to LSU

LSU has gotten one of the biggest pieces to the class of 2022 recruiting class puzzle as running back TreVonte Citizen‍ of Lake Charles (La.) Lake Charles Prep has announced his commitment to the Tigers.

“I want to thank God for the opportunities and blessings bestowed upon me. I want to thank every school that believed I was special and offered me a scholarship,” Citizen said. “Thanks goes to all the coaches who molding me into the young man I am now.  And I want to thank my family for the unconditional love, support and prayers you've given me during this journey.

“With that said, I'm staying home and committing to LSU.”

The 6-foot, 215-pound Citizen commited to LSU over offers from Texas, Auburn, Texas A&M, Arkansas and many others.

LSU running backs coach Kevin Faulk is recruiting Citizen for the Tigers.  Wish his pledge, LSU now has 15 commitments for the class of 2022.

“Thank you Coach Orgeron, Coach Faulk and Coach Mason (Smith) for recruiting me and treaking me like family from day one.

Citizen finished the 2020 shortened season with 615 yards and eight touchdowns..  He added five receptions for 48 yards.
