LSU linebacker commit Kendall McCallum undergoing tests

October 9, 2018

According to the Anniston Star, Oxford Ala. linebacker Kendall McCallum‍  is being tested for a heart condition that might lead to surgery.

Oxford head coach Ryan Herring told the publication a week ago that there was an Asthma issue.

“If he’s got an issue, he will have,” Herring said. “They may have to put heart cath (catheter) in on Monday. They have a heart monitor on him now. I hope everything is going to be OK.”

Herring asked for prayers in a snapchat posting.

The 6-foot-3, 235-pound McCallum is one of three linebackers in LSU's 2019 recruiting class.  He gave his pledge to Ed Orgeron in late June.
