Former Metairie (La.) Archbishop Rummel linebacker Kolbe Fields who just finished his freshman year at South Carolina has signed with LSU.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker was a part of the Gamecocks class of 2021. He signed with them over offers from Arizona, Memphis, Houston, Purdue, Oklahoma State and SMU.
Fields participated in four games last season and had one tackle against Florida.
Before signing with South Carolina he was also committed to Memphis and Oklahoma State.
He entered the transfer portal on January 24.
