Four star tight end Mac Markway commits to LSU

The tight end position is definitely a position of need for Brian Kelly and his LSU coaching staff.  On Thursday, one of the nation's very best for the class of 2023 gave LSU his verbal commitment.

Mac Markway‍ of St. Louis (Mo) DeSmet announced via social media that he is committed to LSU.  He chose LSU over Iowa, Ohio State, Miami and many others.

The 6-foot-4, 250 pound Markway was at one time committed to the Florida Gators but that changed once Dan Mullen was fired and replaced by Bill Napier.

Markway’s father Matt Markway played tight end for the Iowa Hawkeyes in the 90’s.

With Markway’s pledge, LSU now has two commitments for the 2023 recruiting year.  He’s a consensus National150 prospect.
