Defensive end Joshua Mickens commits to LSU
Class of 2023 four-star defensive end Joshua Mickens of Indianapolis (IN) Lawrence Central has announced LSU has his college choice.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound edge rusher chose LSU over North Carolina, USC, Purdue, Michigan State and many others.
Mickens announced his decision via a professionally done video on social media (see below).
Mickens finished his junior season with 70 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, 12 sacks and five forced fumbles.
With his pledge, LSU now has eight commitments for the 2023 recruiting year. Mickens is the second defensive end to commit to the Tigers this weekend as Jaxon Howard announced his commitment Friday evening.
Mickens has been recruited to LSU by Tigers defensive line coach Jamar Cain and others. He visited LSU officially on the weekend of June 10.
