In an interview with TigerBait last week. Hughes said Brian Kelly’s approcoach is a draw for him and his parents.
“Both of my parents graduated from college with their degrees and the biggest thing they wanted is for me to graduate,” Hughes said. “His slogan is graduate champions.”
LSU now has 12 commitments with addition of Hughes. He’s being recruited to the LSU program by cornerbacks coach Robert Steeples.
“He (Steeples) likes what I’m about to do naturally,” Hughes said. “I played three or four games at corner last year.”
Hughes chose July 7 to announce his commitment as it is the anniversary date of his parents wedding.
