Lance Heard commits to LSU
Brian Kelly and his LSU coaching staff have picked up one of the biggest offensive line prizes in the nation as Louisiana's top tackle is staying home.
Four-star offensive tackle Lance Heard of Monroe (La.) Neville has announced that he’s committed to LSU over Florida, Florida State, Nebraska and Houston.
“It feels great, it’s been a long time coming,” Heard said after announcing his commitment to LSU.
The 6-foot-5, 305-pound Heard was a standout performer at the LSU camp back in June and has been a strong focus of Tigers offensive line coach Brad Davis.

With Heard’s announcment, LSU now has 22 commitments for the class of 2023. He’s the third offensive linemen to commit. He joins Paul Mubenga and Tyree Adams.
For two straight years Neville has had the top offensive lineman in the state of Louisiana. Last year, five-star tackle Will Campbell signed with LSU.
