Omar Speights signs with LSU

Former Oregon State linebacker Omar Speights has signed and will enroll at LSU after entering the NCAA transfer portal last week.

The 6-foot-1, 233-pound Speights was named first-team all-Pac-12 last season.  He plays four years for the Beavers but has one year of eligibility left due to the NCAA covid one year exemption.

In four seasons he totaled 308 tackles, 25 tackles for a loss, five sacks, three interceptions and three fumbles recovered. 

Speights is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but moved to Corvallis, Oregon for his senior year of high school at Crescent Valley High School.    He was a three-star prospect in the class of 2019.

He is a graduate transfer.
