Four-star safety Dashawn McBryde commits to LSU

LSU football coach Brian Kelly and his staff picked up the commitment of the one of Louisiana's best athletes Saturday afternoon as Class of 2024 safety Dashawn McBryde‍ of Denham Springs announced his decision.

McBryde was on campus for LSU’s spring football game on Saturday and made the decision official during his visit.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound McBryde chose LSU over Tennessee, Ole Miss and many others.

At the 5-A district track meet this week, McBryde posted a 23-00.75 long jump.

LSU now has 13 commitments for the class of 2024.
