Top Louisiana linebacker Keylan Moses commits to LSU
On Thursday night, class of 2025 four-star athlete Keylan Moses of Baton Rouge (La.) University announced his commitment to LSU in front of friends and family inside the Cubs gym.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker chose the Tigers over Florida, Oregon, Texas and more.
Adding Moses to LSU’s Class of 2025 is crucial to the Tigers, especially long-term. Moses lines up primarily at linebacker, but similar to Harold Perkins, he also can come off the edge.
Moses’ freshman year will likely be the season after Harold Perkins is expected to enter the NFL draft, and Moses has the potential to fill in that role right away.
Not to mention, Moses is right in LSU’s backyard, but the Tigers had to still work for his commitment. He’s been on LSU’s campus several times, but schools like Florida were able to get him on campus multiple times.
A threat to take Moses out of Louisiana also came from Alabama. Moses’ older brother, Dylan, played at Alabama from 2017-2020, and visits to Tuscaloosa made it seem they’d be a school toward the top of his recruitment.
However, when the Crimson Tide was not listed in his top five schools, those thoughts were put to rest.
Now one of Louisiana’s top recruits, regardless of class, is staying home in Baton Rouge. Although Tiger fans won’t see him suited up in the purple and gold until 2025, it’s a commitment that fans should be very confident in.
