The top-ranked running back for 2025, Harlem Berry‍, has committed to LSU - the Five-star back out of St. Martin’s Episcopal in New Orleans chose LSU over Texas and Florida.

“I will be taking my talents to the University of LSU,” Berry announced. “There’s no place like home. I honestly felt like I’d develop well there. I’ll be a different style of back. I’m just going to go ball out. I trust that LSU will get me to where I need to be.”

The 5’11 180-pound prospect is a speed back who runs a 4.38 40-yard dash.

According to Crescentcitysports.com, this season Berry rushed for 2,080 yards on 158 carries for 13.7 yards per carry and 37 touchdowns. He also had 20 catches for 401 yards and seven touchdowns.

In his first two seasons, he had 4,723 all-purpose yards and  67 touchdowns.

I’m 100 percent with the school I’m going with,” Berry said. “There is no doubt in my mind.”

LSU running back coach Frank Wilson had a close relationship with Berry’s father having played together at St. Augustine High School. This relationship played a pivotal role in Berry’s decision.

“It’s amazing,” Berry said of his relationship with Wilson. “He’s a great person to talk to about anything. He’s a good mentor. I’m getting great vibes from Coach Wilson.

LSU’s 2025 recruiting class was already off to a hot start holding a pledge from the top-rated wide receiver Dakorien Moore‍. And LSU will look to add the top-rated quarterback to this list as well with Bryce Underwood‍ set to make his decision on Saturday.
