For the class of 2025, LSU now holds a commitment for the No. 1 quarterback, the No. 1 running back Harlem Berry, and the No. 1 receiver Dakorien Moore.
In LSU’s recruiting history, the program has landed the top-rated quarterback before and the top overall prospect, but never a top-overall recruit that played quarterback.
The last time LSU landed the top-rated recruit was in 2014 when it signed Leonard Fournette.
In 2009, LSU landed Russell Shepard , the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback, but was the third overall recruit according to the composite rankings. Likewise in 2005 LSU landed the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback, Ryan Perriloux, but he was the 6th overall prospect.
