LSU set to hire Missouri DL coach Kevin Peoples

According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, LSU is set to hire Missouri Defensive Line and Edge Coach Kevin Peoples as an assistant coach.

There is no word yet on what official capacity he will hold at LSU, particularly with LSU having just hired Bo Davis to coach the defensive line. However, it’s likely his role would revolve specifically around edge rushers.

Peoples was hired at Missouri in 2022 alongside defensive coordinator Blake Baker. Together they helped turn around Missouri’s defense, turning it into the 25th-ranked scoring defense in the country.

Last week LSU hired Blake Baker as defensive coordinator, and now Peoples will make the same move.

Before working at Missouri, Peoples served two seasons at Indiana and four seasons at Tulane
