Top national 2020 CB Elias Ricks commits to LSU

What a Christmas present Ed Orgeron and his LSU football program has received as 2020 five-star cornerback Elias Ricks‍ has announced his commitment to LSU.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Ricks Santa Ana, Calif. Mater Dei High has been on the LSU campus several times this year for unofficial visits. Once earlier in the spring and earlier this football season for the Ole Miss game weekend.  Tiger defensive backs coach Corey Raymond has also been out to California to visit in the last month.  

The highly sought after Ricks committed to LSU over USC, Ohio State, UCLA and many others.  The signing of Ricks in 2020 would give LSU two-straight years of signing the nation’s No.1 overall cornerback prospect.  Number one overall prospect Derek Stingley Jr. signed with LSU and the class of 2019 last week.

With the addition of Ricks, LSU now has nine commitments for the class of 2020.
