He announced his commitment via X (Twitter).
The 6-foot-2, 290-pound Brown committed to Texas on December 19, largely due to his relationship with then Longhorns defensive line coach Bo Davis who took over the same job at LSU on January 10.
Since then, Davis has worked to turn Brown who visited LSU officially on Memorial Day weekend. Oklahoma and Tennessee were also considered by Brown.
Brown finished his junior season with a total of 65 tackles, 24 tackles for loss and four sacks.
With Browns decision, LSU now has 14 commitments for the class of 2025. He’s the second defensive tackle in the class, joining four-star Zion Williams of Lufkin, Texas who committed on Independence Day.
