Destrehan's Jhase Thomas commits to LSU
Class of 2025 safety Jhase Thomas of Destrehan (La.) has announced that he verbally committed to LSU.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect chose LSU over offers from Texas Tech, Houston, Ole Miss, Colorado and others.
Thomas announced his commitment on AYSsports with Blake Ruffino.
Thomas is being recruited to LSU by Tigers safeties coach Jake Olsen.
With Thomas’ pledge, LSU now has 16 commitments for the the 2025 recruiting year. He’s the first safety commitment in the class thus far.
The Louisiana product has posted an 11.07 in the 100-meters and a 22.87 in the 200.
Thomas’ father Fred Thomas was drafted in the second round of the 1996 draft by the Seattle Seahawks. He finished his career with the New Orleans Saints in 2007.
