BREAKING: 5-star CB DJ Pickett commits to LSU
In a shocker (or was it?), five-star cornerback DJ Pickett has announced his commitment to LSU.
The nation’s top cornerback from Zephyrhills (Fla.) High School, chose LSU over Miami, Oregon and others.
“If you’re a a DB and Coach Raymond is at LSU, I think that’s the place to be at,” Pickett said.
The 6-foot-4, 170-pound prospect is being recruited to LSU by Corey Raymond.
What is LSU getting when Pickett arrives on campus next year?
“I’m coming to be the next great DB that came through at LSU,” Pickett said.
Pickett had made five different visits to LSU in as many months with an official visit on Memorial Weekend.
LSU cornerbacks coach Corey Raymond and Tigers defensive coordinator Blake Baker are recruiting Picketts for the Tigers staff.
With Pickett’s pledge, LSU now has 17 commitments for the class of 2025. He is currently the lone cornerback commits in the class.
