The LSU football program has added another fantastic piece to their defense as four-star, class of 2025 safety CJ Jimcoily‍ of Nashville (TN) Lipscomb Academy has announced his commitment to the Tigers.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Jimcoily chose LSU over Tennessee, Alabama, Stanford and many other scholarship offers.

“It’s almost chilling to visualize the legacy that could be cemented a part of something as great as LSU,” Jimocoily told TigerBait in June following his official recruiting visit.

“LSU is DBU. That’s certainly a factor in my decision.”

Jimcoily is being recruited to LSU by safeties coach Jake Olsen.

“LSU is looking at me at safety primarily, but also in their hybrid nickel position,” Jimcoily said. “Absolutely love this new staff. Their cohesiveness in recruiting, as well as their intention, is phenomenal. Louisiana as a state is very personable; family first. The staff act as a beautiful display of this Louisiana fact.”

Head coach Brian Kelly certainly impresses Jimcoily.

“Brian Kelly is the type of man who will walk through the fire alongside you,” Jimcoily said. “I love Coach Kelly. His demeanor, his priorities for the programs, and that very visible passion in his eyes.”

With Jimcoily’s pledge, LSU now has 20 commitments for the class of 2025.  He’s the second safety in the class joining  Jhase Thomas‍ of Destrehan (La.).
