Class of 2025 DT Dilan Battle commits to LSU
The LSU football program has picked up another very key piece at a position of need as class of 2024 defensive tackle Dilan Battle of Mansfield (TX) Timberview has committed to the Tigers.
The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Battle chose LSU over offers from USC, Texas A&M, TCU, Cal and many others.
Battle is being recruited to LSU by Tigers defensive line coach Bo Davis.
“I know (LSU defensive tackle) coach Bo Davis keeps it real and gets players to the league. That’s why he’s I like him so much,” Battle told TigerBait after his official visit earlier this summer.
LSU now has 22 commitments for the class of 2025 with Battle’s pledge. He now gives the Tigers three defensive tackles currently committed joining Zion Williams of Lufkin, Texas and Brandon Brown of Melbourne, Florida.
“LSU's new staff is really good,” Battle said. “They have developed a lot of the top players in the NFL.”
Battle finished his junior season with 27 tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 4 sacks, and 1 forced fumble.
