Defensive tackle Walter Mathis Jr. commits to LSU
The LSU defensive line room is getting built back in a huge way as class of 2025 tackle Walter Mathis Jr. has committed to the Tigers.
The 6-foot-3, 285 pound linemen chose LSU over offers from Auburn, Clemson, Miami and many others.
Mathis finished his junior year with a total of 50 tackles with 22 of those being for a loss, plus six sacks.
LSU defensive line coach Bo Davis is recruiting Mathis for the Tigers.
The Tigers 2025 recruiting class now has 26 commitments. Mathis is a consensus three-star prospect on the verge of a four. He’s one of four defensive tackles currently committed joining Dilan Battle of Mansfield, TX, Brandon Brown of Melbourne, FL and Zion Williams of Lufkin, Texas.
