Jacob Bradford commits to LSU
Class of 2025 defensive back Jacob Bradford of Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic has announced he's verbally committed to LSU.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Bradford had been committed to Houston but he backed off that pledge earlier this week.
“I’m excited,” Bradford told TigerBait.com. “After the O.V. (official visit), just seeing the place, it just felt like where I am supposed to be.
“The people there are just comfort.”
Last weekend, Bradford visited LSU officially. He received an offer from Brian Kelly back in July. He had been committed to Houston since June of 2023.
Bradford also has scholarship offers from Arizona State, Texas Tech, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Tulane and many others.
LSU safeties coach Jake Olsen is recruiting Bradford the Tigers staff and he tells Jacob that he sees him at possibly cornerback or nickel.
LSU now has 27 commitments for the class of 2025.
Tigers head football coach Brian Kelly was excited with Bradford gave him his commitment.
“He was just smiling and happy,” Bradford said.
Jacob’s younger brother Blaine Bradford is a high four-star safety for the class of 2026.
“There’s just so much family around that place,” Bradford said when asked why he chose LSU. “When I visited last week and seeing everybody I know, it just felt like where i’m supposed to be.”
