BREAKING: EDGE rusher Patrick Payton to LSU
LSU has picked up another transfer portal EDGE rushing in Patrick Payton formerly of Florida State.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound EDGE rusher was a consensus four-star prospect in the class of 2021. He prepped at Northwestern High School in Miami, Florida.
Payton totaled 109 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 16 sacks and three forced fumbles in three seasons in Tallahasee.
In 2022, he was named 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Rookie of the Year.
He has one year of eligibility remaining.
