The safety position has been a very sore spot for the LSU program for years.  Brian Kelly and his staff picked up a really good one Monday as transfer portal safety Tamarcus Cooley of North Carolina State committed to the Tigers.

The 6-foot, 205 pound Cooley chose LSU over Kentucky, Ole Miss and others.

He was a consensus three-star prospect out of Rolesville, North Carolina in the class of 2023.  He originally signed with Maryland.
