New Iberia Catholic's Eugene is a LSU priority

LSU became the latest program to offer 2027 four-star safety Karon Eugene‍ of New Iberia (LA) Catholic in late June.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder is extremely athletic and a true ball hawk in the secondary, recording eight interceptions during his sophomore season.

Eugene caught the eye of LSU defensive analyst Noah Joseph and fellow New Iberia native and secondary coach, Corey Raymond. 

“It truly meant a lot to receive an offer from the home team,” said Eugene.
