One of the nation's most elite quarterback prospects for the class of 2027 Peyton Houston of Shreveport (La.) Evangel has announced his commitment to LSU.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Houston chose LSU over Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, USC and many others.
Houston is a consensus high four-star prospect by every national recruiting service. He’s been recruited to LSU by Tigers offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan.
The announcement coincides with Houston’s birthday today.
Last season, Houston finished first in the state of Louisiana in passing yards. Broke the single game passing record with 817 yeards and now holds the Class 5A passing record with 4,480 yards.
Houston is LSU’s first pledge for the Tigers 2027 recruiting class.
