On Tuesday, Kiffin announced he was bringing Ole Miss and most of the offensive staff with him to LSU, but allowing them to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs.

On Wednesday it was reported that LSU DC Blake Baker was being interviewed for the Tulane head coaching job despite Kiffin trying to retain him and most of LSU’s defenseive staff.
On Thursday, it was reported that Kiffin would hire Kentucky’s offensive line coach Eric Wolford.
On Friday, the news broke that Blake Baker was declining the Tulane stay and remaining at LSU.
On Saturday LSU annouced it was retaining defensive backs coach Corey Raymond, edge rushers coach Kevin Peoples and safeties coach Jake Olsen.
Also on Saturday it was reported that LSU was in good position to hire Syracuse DC Elijah Robinson as defensive line coach.
