South Alabama transfer DL Achilles Woods commits to LSU,

LSU has landed a transfer portal commitment from South Alabama defensive lineman Achilles Woods.

As a redshirt freshman in 2025, he registered 11 tackles and a sack.

The 6-4, 234-pound edge rusher will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Woods is the 23^rd portal commitment for LSU.

Prepped at Austin High School in Decatur, Alabama. He was named to the all-region second team in 2022 when he totaled 81 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

He was also recruited by Memphis, UAB, Georgia Tech, Austin Peay and Southern Illinois out of high school as a consensus three-star recruit.
