Talented Ole Miss freshman wide receiver Winston “Winnie” Watkins has committed to LSU.
As a true freshman in 2025, he accumulated 27 catches for 373 yards and a touchdown.
He is the 25th-ranked receiver in the portal according to On3.
Out of high school he was a consensus four-star recruit out of Venice, Florida.
He was rated the No. 15 wide receiver prospect in the country by Rivals.
He hauled in 78 passes for 1,011 yards and 17 touchdowns his senior season in high school.He averaged 77.8 yards per game and 13.0 yards per catch. He also had 129 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns across his junior and senior seasons.
He caught 61 passes for 1,170 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2023 and averaged 146.3 receiving yards and 19.2 yards per reception.
He initially chose Ole Miss over other offers from Indiana, South Carolina and Alabama, among others.
