The coldest I have ever been at an LSU sporting event was not at a football game.
March 3, 2002, the Tigers were playing Long Beach St. in the finale of a three-game series. Sunday morning broke clear, but bitterly cold. The temperature at first pitch was 31 degrees, with a wind chill of 19.
I was skeptical that the game would be played, especially when before dragging the infield, they had to de-ice it.
