Cornerback Lavonte Williams opens up about choosing LSU

LSU added depth to its secondary Saturday night, landing a commitment from former Georgia Military College cornerback Lavonte Williams.

Williams, a junior college transfer who will enroll this summer, will be eligible to play immediately this season. The Camden, S.C. native appeared in 11 games last year at Georgia Military, recording 17 tackles, five pass breakups and an interception. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound corner has outstanding size and length and excels in man-to-man coverage.
