LSU landed its first flip of the 2027 class when three-star offensive lineman Amaziah Siale‍ announced his commitment to the Tigers, backing off a previous pledge to Cal.

Siale, a 6-foot-6, 360-pound standout from Mission Viejo High School in California, had been committed to Cal only a few weeks before embarking on a 10-day college tour. That stretch produced new offers from Alabama and Texas and set the stage for a pivotal stop in Baton Rouge.

During LSU’s OL/DL camp, Siale impressed offensive line coach Eric Wolford enough to earn a scholarship offer, then returned for an official visit a week later. The visit sealed his decision; Siale committed on the spot and canceled a scheduled official visit to Texas this week.

Originally from Hawaii, Siale sat out his junior season after transferring to Mission Viejo. He becomes the first offensive line pledge and ninth overall commitment in LSU’s 2027 recruiting class.
