LSU continued to add to its future roster on Thursday with the commitment of 2026 forward Jordan Bender, according to a report from ESPN's Jeff Borzello.
Bender, a 6-foot-8 left-handed forward, played this past season at Northside Christian School in St. Petersburg, Florida, under former NBA and Florida standout Marreese Speights. The versatile frontcourt prospect gives LSU another developmental piece as Will Wade and his staff continue building the Tigers' roster for the future.
While Bender is not currently ranked by the major recruiting services, he brings intriguing size, length and versatility to Baton Rouge. He is viewed as a player capable of defending multiple positions and impacting the game on the glass while continuing to develop physically and offensively.
Bender also comes from a basketball family. Reports indicate he is the son of former Louisville forward Brandon Bender, adding another layer to his basketball background.
The addition gives LSU another frontcourt option as Wade continues reshaping the program's roster heading into the 2026-27 season. Bender joins a Tigers program that has been active on the recruiting trail and in roster construction since Wade's return to Baton Rouge.
Additional details on Bender's recruitment and future role with the Tigers are expected to emerge in the coming days.
