After a standout LSU camp performance that showcased his arm strength, accuracy and command, 2030 quarterback Mason Smith‍ finally earned a Tigers offer earlier than most.

Smith, an incoming high school freshman, is projected to be the starting quarterback at North DeSoto High School outside Shreveport. LSU joins Tulane and Ole Miss on his early résumé. He picked up an Ole Miss offer as an eighth grader, when Lane Kiffin and his staff were still in Oxford.
