Paul Mainieri had a pat answer about the expectations of LSU Tiger fans. 

“They expect you to start perfect and then improve.” 

Lane Kiffin is halfway there. 

Because while there may never be an absolutely perfect football game, Saturday night in Baton Rouge was remarkably close to it. 

The only thing that stopped LSU all night was the weather, and it was a temporary stoppage at that.
