TigerBait.com has confirmed reports that Baton Rouge native and LSU graduate Scott Woodward who is currently the athletics director at Texas A&M is a possibility to replace outgoing Tiger athletics director Joe Alleva.

Rumors of Alleva’s contract non-renewal and premature exit from LSU has been brewing for weeks following the indefinite suspension of men’s basketball coach Will Wade who was reinstated earlier this week.

Woodward is credited with luring football coach Jimbo Fisher to Florida State to Texas A&M in 2016.  The two became friends with each other during their time together at LSU from 2000-2004 when Fisher was offensive coordinator on Nick Saban’s staff.

A 1985 graduate of LSU, Woodward served as the LSU chancellor's representative to the athletic department from 2000-04.  He’s also a graduate of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge.

According to Woodward's Texas A&M contract he is paid $900,000 in base salary. The buyout of Woodward’s Texas A&M contract is only $40,960.
