There's been a number of reports of a looming shortage of some food items coming in the near future. A multitude of things such as spiraling fuel costs, difficulty in getting seeds, weather events, etc., are contributing to a perfect storm of troubles for the American farmer.

American politicians are stupid. There is a reason you don't see more politicians in the US Congress opposing China. Hell, we actually have a President that really is in bed with China. What America needs is to pass an Amendment that says all media must be self sustaining and wholly owned by a single owner, or employee owned. It cannot be owned by another large corporation. If that happened you would see news reporting return to what it should be; or else the news organization would go broke because the American people won't follow.
