Some may present the argument that the various social programs constitute reparations, per se. That may be, but what the black community isn't acknowledging is that these programs sure seem designed to keep them from fully participating in the American Dream of economic prosperity and upward mobility, among others. I hope one day they see what these schemes are doing to them. It's been past time for blacks to assume their rightful place alongside every other American in reaping what this country affords to each person. It's time for them to reject these destructive schemes, and the politicians and hucksters who sell them out.
